ok mate easiest option is SELF DRIVE but i live on the mainland and only two hours away from dover,

ferrys are dirt cheap £30 a crossing
and take your own tackle

Theres a few lakes which allow tackle hire but very expensive

i know of a cheap lake where i got those carp from also has catfish and plenty of sturgeon!

called Berny Riverer or something similar

basically a holiday resort, all i did was take my bivvy and paid 10 euros a night to stay there and another 10 euros to fish a day worked out cheap!

on the subject of fishing im selling all my gear very soon if your interested, got all the big names, baitboat etc
