Salt or Sugar? For me, sugar is the only option, but our friends up north often prefer Salt! So out of interest, what is it for you? Ps, this is my lame attempt at increasing my board activity after a quiet few days.

Your supposed to add a pinch of salt when cooking it to bring out the creaminess of the oats but not to flavour it.

Maybe some of our Northern friends can confirm this but when I was working up in Scotland I was deeply surprised to find a large bottle of whisky and a measure next to the pot of porridge at the breakfast buffet and people were adding whisky to their porridge! It wasn't so much the Whisky that surprised me rather the fact that it was a Motorway service station Travel Lodge that I was staying at with no other way to get to it or leave other than a motorway!!! And it certainly wasn't the sort of place that you went to stay a few nights at!!
