Totally agree.
push that little harder next time Zimma, just add 5kg to the total and you take the lead here and in the process, GROW!
not a bad side effect :)

That's a very good effort mate front squats are very tough.

I have no idea what my 1rm would be these days on any squats as I am sticking to reps. But just to save my ego the 100kg was a rest pause style set of 40+ reps

Ha! Thomas, I wondered if you'd crack! You could probably get another 50kg on there for reps :)

I ve got a plan for the next 3 weeks

going for the full 10 ladder next week, week after will be 2 ladders of 5 with 140kg So 15 reps per ladder total , then week three going for one all out set of 140 for 20 reps...hopefully lol

Cheers bud, I did the first phase of smolov last year and got pretty good at squatting although haunt squatted much since sept now. Never front squatted 130 before but had hit 120 for 5 reps.

Tbh doubt i could hit 130 or 120 for a decent front squat. I do like doing the front squats with straps....saves the wrists big time.

Personally for those with wrist issues I can see the benefit but those who are just lacking the flexibility to hit that position really shouldn't be using straps because otherwise it's just facilitating dysfunction and as Gray Cook loves to say ' you can't train fitness on dysfunction!'
