Just wondering if anyone on here is using windows 8 and if so what do you think about it.

My thoughts are its absolutely shit unstable and is really slow in fact I am thinking about going back to windows 7.
Before anyone starts blaming my laptop I am ruining a pentium i7 with 8gb memory lol

Ive been using windows 8 and I really like it. Theres a few glitches with it but in general its very quick and well laid out.

I prefer osx on macs though so Ive turned my Intel i5 into a hackintosh running OSX Mountain Lion :)

I think you need to look at what processor youre using a pentium isnt an i7 - pentiums are chopped down and really slow Im sorry to say.

On my Intel i5 with 8 gig ram it runs really fast. I then added an ssd in and it was like shit off a shovel fast.

I think windows 8 is the windows vista of its days still filled with bugs and being run as trial in antipation for windows 9 it does utilize the ram better however if you have a touch screen the metro interface is king but for all you mouse clickers i love my windows 7 especially the start menu, why get rid of it?

Anyway if you are getting pissed off you dont have a strt menu goto google and type in:

Windows 8 start menu cnet, its a cnet download skip the addwares and install you still can use metro but now you have the start menu back and its FREE you dont have to pay for it unlike others.

Allergate how have you got mac runing on ur system? I tried the virtual thing but always hung on the apple screen ive got more than enuff power to run it too teason why, i want to develop my own apps so will be learning the code lol.

My specs are:

I5 3.3ghz over clocked me thinks (safe zone)
1tb 7200rpm
16gb ddr3
Twin fozr ii special edition graphics card

Yes im a computer geek ;)

Two computer geek talking about a date:

- Guess what? I met a beautiful woman last night, took her home.

- Oh really? And then what happened?

- We got home, next to my bed she goes "Take my clothes off!"

- Oh my! And then what?

- I took her shoes, off, threw it on the ground. Took her clothes off, threw it on the end of the bed. Took her underwear off, threw it next to my new laptop

-Oh my God! You got a new laptop? What kind of processor does it have?

My mistake its a itel i7 just paid a grand for the laptop at Christmas the problem is when I open task manager the disk usage is stuck on 100 percent which is slowing every thing down. Any idea

Ok we need to go into processes and see whats causing the issue I would say. Something will be pushing the disk all the time. I can remote in and have a look for you if you install teamviewer available at teamviewer.com then drop me a pm with the id and pass if you would like?

Ill be online all afternoon.
